Beach Senior Pictures

I am excited to share these beach senior pictures for guys from a senior portrait session near Daytona Beach.

Lighthouse Point Park is located about 15 minutes from Daytona Beach and is situated along the inlet and Atlantic Ocean. There are views of the second tallest lighthouse in the country, stunning sand dunes, big waves and gorgeous views of the inlet. I am always excited to photograph at Lighthouse Point Park because it is the perfect spot for beach pictures.

What to wear for senior pictures at the beach for guys? 

I recommend keeping it casual and simple. Layers tend to look great and you want to prioritize timeless styles because these will be portraits that you look back on for many years.

Avoid large logos, fluorescent colors and distracting patterns. I love suggesting color schemes that include blue tones because I feel blue compliments the beach so well.

Barefoot is best on the beach, so there is no need to worry about shoes! Be sure that you are okay with your clothes getting wet or sandy.

Senior Beach Portrait tips

Early morning and sunset are the best times to schedule your senior beach portraits. The beach can be extremely bright around noon, unless it is a cloudy or overcast day.

It may be a good idea to bring a towel with you because you will get wet and sandy during your beach photoshoot. I recommend styling your hair with the breezy beach atmosphere in mind. It can sometimes be windy on the beach, so bringing along a comb may be a good idea as well.

Bug spray can also be useful in the summer months to help avoid mosquito bites and sand gnats. This isn’t always an issue but it can occasionally pose a nuisance.
