Best Things to Eat at Epic Theme Park Orlando

We Ate Almost Everything at Epic Universe—Here’s What You Actually Want to Eat

After five visits to Universal’s Epic Universe Orlando Florida soft opening for team members and family, we did what any food-loving, theme-park-obsessed people would do: we ate our way through nearly every land.

And let me tell you—this isn’t just popcorn and churros. The food is thoughtful, bold, and in most cases, surprisingly elevated. Every land has its own vibe, its own flavor, and its own must-eats.

Here’s everything we tried, what we loved, and what we’re already planning to go back for.

Atlantic

Fancy Vibes, Fountain Views, and That Cosmo

Most excitingly, we ate at Atlantic twice. The first time was incredible, the second time we sat in the private room overlooking floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Celestial Park fountain show at sunset—and it was pure magic. Peaceful lighting, calming music, and a beautiful setting made it the most relaxing moment of our whole trip.

The ceiling has artful fish sculptures that slowly and gently “swim” around the restaurant while you dine.

We ordered the Filet Mignon, the Shrimp Pasta in a creamy tomato sauce, and the Butter-Poached Lobster Roll. Everything was flavorful, well-cooked, and plated like we were at a fine dining restaurant. That shrimp pasta looked small but absolutely hit. The lobster roll was overflowing. The filet was buttery and tender.

Also? The northern lights drink from the cocktail menu? Best one I’ve ever had and beautiful look at! The pea blossom ice sphere added a gorgeous hue of indigo.

Even our one-year-old was calm and happy the entire time as he enjoyed his “fish sticks” which were actually in the shape of stars. That should tell you everything.

Das Stakehaus

Dracula’s Mansion but With a Burger and a Mood

Inside Darkmoor, you’ll find Das Stakehaus—and it’s probably the most themed restaurant I’ve ever eaten in. Think Dracula’s mansion: dark gothic lighting, eerie paintings, spooky statues, and team members fully in character. One handed me my tray and said, “Enjoy your flesh.” I was obsessed.

We ordered:

•    Carved “Staked” Steak – prime rib with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes

•    Das Stakehaus Burger – juicy, topped with bacon, cherry peppers, grilled onions, cheddar, and tomato-pepper chutney on a black bun

•    “Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich – crispy chicken, blood orange glaze, pickles and slaw

•    Crimson Glazed Pork Loin – sweet, smoky, and perfect with the sides

•    Bits and Pieces Kids Meal – mushroom brisket meatloaf that we all stole bites from

Then came the Red Velvet “Death” Cake. Moist, rich, and themed just enough to be fun without being over the top. One person got it. Then another did. No regrets.

This place is full-on spooky but the food is legit. If you’re into the monsters—or even if you’re not—make this stop.

Garlic Fries and Crème Brûlée in Wizarding Paris

This café was one of the biggest surprises of our trip. It’s tucked inside The Wizarding World – Ministry of Magic, and the second you walk in, you feel like you’ve stumbled back in time to a café in Paris. There’s gorgeous tilework, moody lighting, and a calm, charming energy that’s hard to describe.

We ordered the Baguette de Dinde, a cracked pepper turkey sandwich with Brie, Dijon butter, arugula, and apple slices on a crusty baguette—and it was perfect. But listen: the garlic fries stole the show. Golden, crispy, addictive. You need them.

Our table shared the croissants, a warm cinnamon roll, and the crème brûlée. People literally went back for seconds. We passed everything around and just kept saying, “Wait—try this one.”

It felt cozy. Elevated. Like it belonged in a park and in a real Paris side street.

Toadstool Café

Mario Vibes, Truffle Fries, and Cheesy Garlic Knots I Regret Sharing

This café inside Super Nintendo World feels like you stepped inside the game. You’ve got windows showing Toads walking by, Mario music playing, and themed food that’s fun without feeling gimmicky.

We had the Mario Burger—a beef patty with mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and cheese on a brioche bun—served with truffle fries that were so good we talked about them the rest of the day. We also ordered the Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, and honestly? Should’ve gotten two orders.

Next time I’m trying the tiramisu, but just from what we had? Solid, satisfying, and full of fun.

Pizza Moon

Cosmic Pizza That Actually Surprised Us

We didn’t expect to love Pizza Moon as much as we did, but it ended up being one of our favorite “grab a bite and go” meals. It’s got this retro space theme with cool lighting and fast service. The pizza? Shockingly good.

We tried:

•    “A Trip to Vesuvio” – pepperoni, fennel sausage, cherry peppers, roasted peppers, onions, and hot honey

•    Classic Pepperoni Slice – big, cheesy, and easy to eat on the move

And then came the Oreo Brownie. Warm, fudgy, packed with crushed Oreos… and it vanished before anyone could claim the last bite.

If you’ve got a pizza lover in your group, don’t skip this spot. The Vesuvio slice is bold and spicy in the best way.

BBQ, House Pickles, and Cozy Lodge Energy

Back in Celestial Park, this one feels like your favorite local BBQ spot but with a little Universal magic. Wood tones, friendly staff, and comforting food that hits right when you need it.

We ordered the Slow-Smoked Brisket, Three Cheese Mac & Cheese, BBQ Crinkle Fries, and their house pickles—which were crunchy, tangy, and delicious. The brisket was juicy and packed with flavor. And their BBQ sauce? Perfectly tangy with just enough bite.

Bonus points for their custom Freestyle drink blend—every land has one, and this was easily one of our favorites.

Meteor Astropub

Galaxy Burgers and Chocolate Cake That Shut Us Up

This place gives off space-lounge-meets-cool-diner vibes and somehow makes it work. We grabbed the Big Bang Burger with a side house salad—needed some greens by that point, let’s be honest.

The burger was juicy with a little smoky-sweet flavor, and the salad was crisp and fresh. But the real star? The Atlas’ Chocolate Cake. Rich, dense, layered, and just completely worth every single bite.

One of us took the first bite and immediately went quiet. That says it all.

Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel

Mac & Cheese Cone of My Dreams

You’ll find this little stand in Isle of Berk, and if you like spicy, creamy, cheesy goodness wrapped in bread… you need to get the Dragon Fire-Grilled Chicken Mac & Cheese Cone.

It’s packed with creamy mac, topped with spicy Nashville hot pulled chicken, fried pickle chips, and a little sauce that ties the whole thing together. The cone is a warm bread cone—like a Viking-style bread bowl you can hold in your hand.

Messy? Yep. Worth it? 100%.

Final Thoughts: This Isn’t Just Theme Park Food Anymore

Epic Universe Orlando Florida didn’t just give us cool rides and immersive lands—they gave us food that’s actually worth planning your day around. From peaceful VIP views at Atlantic to creepy steak dinners in Dracula’s castle, buttery garlic fries in Wizard Paris to pizza in space… every meal felt like part of the adventure.

Try the food. Share the desserts. Drink the Freestyle blends.

This is theme park dining 2.0—and it’s delicious.
