Clearwater Family Photographer
A few of my favorite photos
As a Clearwater family photographer, I am lucky to have gorgeous scenery to work with. Although, it’s the families that I photograph that really make the portraits I create come to life.
I have captured thousands of memories but some photos stand out to me as extra special. I have curated a few of my favorites from recent Clearwater sessions. Each and every photoshoot tells a unique story and they are all beautiful.
Sand Key Park is my favorite photo spot in Clearwater because it is secluded and offers a wide variety of scenery including greenery, sand dunes and a rock jetty. I often get photo bombed by sea birds and boats, which adds some magic to the backdrop.
When a client first books, I send over a guide that goes over how to prepare, what to wear and I suggest locations. This helps families get ready for their photoshoot and is especially helpful if you’ve never been photographed before.
The beach presents a breathtaking backdrop but it comes with a few special challenges such as wind, crowds, sand, water and sometimes bright sun. After many years of photographing beach portraits, I am very comfortable shooting in a beach setting but some families may not know what to expect.
The booking guide helps prepare everyone for a beach photoshoot even if they have never even seen a beach before.
I like to begin every shoot with a photo of families together. I do this because it is the most important grouping but also to bring everyone together from the start.
I will then break down the groupings into siblings, individuals and couples in different settings. I like to deliver a nice variety, so that families can choose which photos they want the most. As a Clearwater photographer, I am lucky to have so much pretty scenery to work with.
