As a New Smyrna Beach engagement photographer, our favorite location is definitely Smyrna Dunes Park. We began the engagement session by walking about 1 mile along a scenic boardwalk.

Once we got to the beach, we had already been delighted with expansive views of protected sand dunes & the tallest lighthouse in Florida. We stopped for a few quick engagement photos in front of the ocean.

This couple was a blast to photograph and I am so excited to photograph their beach ceremony as well. I am blown away with how beautiful this evening was for them and I loved capturing their love story.

Scenic New Smyrna Beach provides the most romantic backdrop for engagement photoshoots. As you can see, the crowds are no where to be seen at Smyrna Dunes Park and neither are the high rise condos.

Next, we headed toward the rock jetty and my favorite sand dune in New Smyrna Beach. The rock jetty at Smyrna Dunes Park is stunning and adds such an interesting background to photos. Then, we got photobombed by a pelican – I love when that happens!

As the sun started setting, it was time to photograph some engagement photos in front of the beautiful Ponce Deleon Lighthouse. As a New Smyrna Beach engagement photographer, I love to utilize the reflection in the sand to add extra magic.

After I had them walk and hold hands, I asked them to stop and kiss at the spot that had the prettiest background. Then we started to head back toward the boardwalk to finish up.

There was a quick outfit change and next we walked along the boardwalk to get a spectacular view of the Ponce Deleon Lighthouse. The setting sun was a New Smyrna Beach photographer’s dream because it created a fairy tale setting. The views at Smyrna Dunes park are truly hard to rival and it’s one of the most scenic places in Florida.
