Who doesn’t love a big family trip to the beach? Gathering all of your children and grandchildren together for a vacation is the best way to create lasting memories. Did you know that 49% of kids said their best memories are of things that they did during a family vacation?

New Smyrna Beach is a special destination for many families. Some families return each year to stay on the beach and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. When families contact us and say they’d like to capture their big family portrait in such a scenic setting – we are all about it!

I get so excited to capture portraits for multi-family groups because I know these photos are going to be adored for years and years to come.

Getting all of your grandkids together at the beach must be one of the best feelings. I love capturing this very pose with grandparents because I know that it will be a moment that everyone will cherish. After I started photographing individual family portraits for each family.

It’s important to start with the youngest children first because they can lose interest toward the end of the session. While posed portraits are the most important, it is also vital to include more candid relaxed portraits. The portraits where families can interact together always elicit the most authentic smiles.
